Now for something completely OT:
Hiked up the Heliotrope Ridge summit trail on Mt Baker yesterday... starting elev was ~ 3800'.. got as high as one could without crampons & ice axe... ~6500'.. then its all glacier..
From the road to the trailhead...

From summit basecamp...

Coleman (near) & Roosevelt Glaciers...

Wildflowers were again spectacular...

Looking down on my fellow hiker & the Coleman & Roosevelt Glaciers.. also note the massive lateral moraine (grey cliff) created by the glacier/s before melting back..

On the way back down...

Panorama... Baker and the affore mentioned glaciers..

FYI: Mt Baker from Bellingham.. perspective
