Maybe true, but the prospect of BIG money NOW versus smaller installments over time has an appeal to MOST people, and probably disproportionaley to GREEDY people. I don't personally know Leckrone or our BOD members, but their actions over the years strike me as, perhaps, those of members of that latter category. TPL's deal is percentage based either way, so the larger the base, the higher the percentage based share, so they are also incentivized a bit to go for a bigger pie.

Maybe wishful illogic on my part, but as I said, settling now just leaves the door open to more delay and legal challenges versus opening opportunities to easier license signings due to a fully litigated result. If we were to prevail in court, TPL's piece of the pie grows proportionately to the award / settlement, but also and comes easier through future licensing, one would think.

As for your Dodgers, when my Pirates look in front of them, your boys are STILL nowhere to be found! I thought you've been telling me for months now how they were going to smoke the Pirates record wise. Pirates will win the Central, and if your LA Ladies are unlucky enough to meet them in the playoffs, please bring a dust pan to carry them back to LA, as I'll be bringing the broom!
