In many respects you are arguing my point, we did not know the jury would find in favor of Apple. Apple comes to us prior to their case, says we will sign your license (pay you a fee..perhaps reduced) and we will give you some informaiton / help against Samsung and other parties. We want to preclude some of these parties from the US market to help us. If we lose our fignt, perhaps you will win yours. No contingency here...a two pronged attack that would benefit both parties (Apple / Us) and possibly harm Samsung and some other competitors of Apple. Sounds like a win / win to me. Wild scheme???? It does not sound that far fetched to me..but apparently it does to you..
