I have been thinking about this a little more. Moore said
<It's to my advantage that they preserve the infringer pool until I restore my royalty. I have plans for that $50M.>
If Moore's royalty is 55% of TPL's 50% that's 28%, am I right so far?
28% of X = $50 Million to Moore
X = $178,571,429
If Moore's intent was to give us some idea (in his opinion) of the value of the MMP based on the remaining infringers, wouldn't that mean that PTSC would get 1/2 of 178,571,429 or around $89 million before TPL submits its usual and customary expenses.
Would it be safe to say that we have seen the days of the larger settlements (i.e. Intel) never to return? If there were 400 initial infringers, and if we have 80 licensed, that would leave 320 infringers to pay out 178,571,429 or about 1/2 million per license agreement.
As usual comments, corrections are always welcome even if we don't agree.
