detrimental impact on the S/P should be laughed out of the building. I purchased DOW Chemical last year just about the time the market bottomed. While the circumstances surrounding the company seemed negative, I felt like they had positioned themselves to weather the storm. For almost a year nearly every DOW message board out there said the forced acquisition of Rohm/Haas would have severe consequences. They bashed 24/7 about mgmt, the BOD and anything else they could come up with. They spoke relentlessly about the debt load that would strangle DOW. Well here we are almost a year later and DOW not only swallowed Rohm/Haas but they made several fantastic moves to pay down the debt. I believe they are better positioned in the niche chemical market to take advantage as the economy slowly recovers. The point is simple, after a year of relentless bashing, DOW Chemicals fundamentals won out and that terrible buy at $8.50 is now $31+.
If mgmt is doing there job no group of persons on a message board are going to bring the house down. We are at $.17 for a reason and it's not because of posters on Agora, Yahoo, Raging Bull or anywhere else. We are at $.17 because this is a Zombie company. We have just enough capital to stay open but not enough capital to do anything with. Our circumstance have remained virtually unchanged for the last year and half. The fundamentals of this company haven't improved and that is a fact. The circumstances surrounding the MMP vs. USPTO have changed but, we don't have anything to measure whether or not that can be translated into a win. So please, those of you that continue to come on here and blabber about negatives posting, stop. I've got a nice return going on DOW that proves you wrong everytime. Fundamentals always win in the end. Clearly Patriot has not achieved that, yet.
