I always saw the licensing a steady trickle and hardly the "phenomenal ascendance as one of the most important patent portfolios in the history of electronics"
From prior court documents, the figures requested from alleged infringers have been made available and I would suggest, as I have on numerous occasions, that many were awaiting the outcome of the re-examinations before deciding which way to jump - sign or fight.
Does anyone else read "phenomenal ascendence" as implying that many of the 800-plus companies put on notice have now decided and that the announcement of double-digit licensees aren't that far away?
With the recertification, I would certainly be reviewing upwards the price for a MMP Portfolio license and advising those already on notification that there only remains a short period of time in which to take advantage of the price on the table.
