1. ...why wasn't the announcement of Baroni's hiring just a regular PTSC PR authored and signed by RG?

Perhaps RG was out of town or on vacation.

2. Why did the Audit Committee which, like the full board, one assumes, sits for a day or so every few months, push itself to the fore in the PR as the driving force behind PTSC's and PDSG's business progress and direction?

Perhaps they wanted investors to know that they are doing their job in light of all the bitching about lack of communication and what the BOD are doing.
