Nice post. I believe the $100's of millions expected for a license is based on licenses that go to trial. We've all seen many examples of huge settlements from other companies fighting over infringment in the courts. A situation similar to TPL/PTSC vs. the J's in Texas. I don't think any of us expect TPL to get $100's of millions from each license even after the patents recieve the PTO re-validation stamp of approval. I think most of us have come back down to earth and realize that the battle in Texas didn't go as we hoped and future licenses are most likely dependent on the USPTO.
