I don't think many here want to believe we may still have a substantial amount of time before we see things come to fruition. The USPTO is a major piece of the puzzle. It will give those sitting on the sidelines a reason to come forward and license.

If everything hangs on the USPTO decision, which might be a long way away (I don't think so, and believe it's only a matter of weeks) why did RIM license now, and not await the decisions?

Were I TPL, and in negotiations with a company known to fight infringement allegations every inch of the way, before licensing, it would be a simple matter to let their patent lawyers have sight of the USPTO materials.

That RIM has licensed is a WATERSHED EVENT, in my very humble opinion, the significance of which has still to be fully appreciated.

Whether they licensed for $1 or $1billion is, in my opinion, secondary to the fact that they licensed. The consequences should soon be seen in a more rapid flow of new licensees.

Please feel free to flesh this out, or flush it out. I don't mind, time is on my side (smiley).

Be well
