What I found interesting on Dec 18th, was the separate mention of JVC.

Before the settlement, it always were Toshiba, NEC and Matsushita = J3, but the settlement pr stated Toshiba, Matsushita (Panasonic) and JVC and the other pr NEC, which makes J4. 

IMO it means that Matsushita AND JVC bought each a licence, though JVC is a subsidary of Matsushita.

And today's pr proofs this, because otherwise it would have been NINE licensees since first of December.

BTW, thank you for your clarification regarding the "accelerated filer" status of PTSC.
