Message: Projections from 3/11/06 where are we now?

"This $80M came from just five companies, who received "deep discounts" for being among the first in their sectors to sign."

We now know they got "deep discounts". My thoughts run to what is the percentage? 10% off or 50% off the regular price? Then I would like to know what is a "discounted" price versus a regular price. And finally, what is a regular price? From the different SHMs I understand there to be different sectors as well and tiers ( first signers, seconds signers etc.). Add to all this the idea of regular payments with penalties. That means no discounts, just the regular payment using the formula to determine license cost and then more fees for signing late. Deb mentioned a more revealing formula concept with the thoughts of "sales figures"  that can stretch back into decades!! I believe that the gates are closed to the discounted prices at this point.  Thanks to Deb for the idea/info about the sales being part of the formula. Now the question is what percentage of those sales are due to PTSC and TPL? What is the percentage of sales used to formulate the license fee? And now with discounts over (IMO)  what are the penalty percentages? I believe that the plan is that  every time there is a signing those that are left will be faced with even higher penalties. I don't have the time to do it, but it would be fun to see the sales of several of the companies that have signed already ( in each group ) and see if there is some % relationship in common. IMO the secret to the major settlement numbers are in the % formula applied to sales and the % for delay. I enjoy playing Sudoku, but trying to figure out those numbers is way beyond me at this point.
