OT..GRN I's...I grew up in Lucerne, Maine/Phillips Lake..we would see Bud Leavitt (sports writer) and Ted Williams all the time on the lake bass fishing...never bothered them.

One more...We were helping a frind (HS teacher in Bangor) do his roof on a new camp..which is what it was..pretty small. Well, we ran out of roofing nails and some one suggested that I go talk to this new guy down the road who was building his own camp by himself....perhaps he could lend us some nails.

Sandy had plenty of nails and even asked if he could help...wonderful guy.

We would stop by and see how Sandy was doing a few times...we finally figured out that Sandy was Sandy Koufax. This guy was so down to Earth...unless he was on the mound.
