IMO, it isn't the potential licensees that are holding back, it's our team. Since the Markman (if memory serves) we've done two new licensees out of the new Paris office (Bull, Lego) to justify their existence IMO. We've done one more Japanese company (Denso Wave), and one Taiwanese company (DMP) to open the door to that market. Other than that, we got APC as "fall out" from a prior license.
IMO, our team is definitely holding off for far larger settlements/licenses with those 458 other companies put on notice. And I think this is a very wise move.
And, IMO, this demonstrates the level of confidence TPL has regarding the current litigation.
