The interesting thing here is that they only mention "ARM's indemnity obligations" in relation to Toshiba and NEC.  So the other thing I believe we learn from this is that the patent indemnification clause is not a "boilerplate" item in ARM's sales Ts&Cs, but may be optionally selected by customers (presumeably for a premium).  How many ARM customers so opted?  Only ARM and those customers KNOW (proprietary/company private info).
