LOL. I WISH it worked that way! But, alas.....it means I'm in way over my head here.

However, the other day (last Monday) I found myself sitting in a waiting room waiting for a dear friend undergoing tests due to suspected lung cancer. I struck up a converstaion with the fella sitting next to me who happenned to be a chip designer (recently retired after some 30 years). We got into in-depth conversation, but he dominated the conversation talking about his personal accomplishments (typical engineer! LOL). I was amazed that I actually understood a lot of what he was saying. I tried (pretty much in vain) to pose questions a la our patents and the arguments I knew of per the Markman transcript. I described the "varying together" thing as best I could, and his response was "they have to work that way to achieve highest possible operating speed under varying conditions", "the clock and CPU have to work in concert", and "all chips work like that" (all quotes paraphrased or to the best of my recollection). So my ignorance was graced with some enlightenment.

BTW, my friend was diagnosed with cancer in the lower lobe of her left lung. Surgery was Thursday, they believe they got it all, and they sent her home yesterday! Amazing! So I was feeling pretty darned lucky before the Markman result. Now I'm just ellated!
