'Cuz this is way over my head. My only thought (in purest ignorance) is that the Court's interpretation suggests that the ring oscillator clock can operate independent of the external clock and does not require a command input control signal in order perform in conjunction with the CPU. It would seem that this would offer the ring oscillator clock to operate with greater flexibility in conjunction with the CPU - a la "varying together" with the CPU. Now, if that makes any sense at all, I'd be quite surprised with myself, but it would also suggest that the court's interpretation (though seemingly siding with the defendants) does no damage to our claim. It may even be desireable for us!
My only question (to remove a little of my ignorance, and further display it) is where does a command input control signal come from?
And this is a very apt time for me to say: I KNOW NUTTIN'!
