As I've said before, common shareholders (unless holding multi, multi, multi-million share levels) are but stepchildren in the eyes of Corporate.

It all depends on how benevolent they care to be....

If you have mountains of preferreds, well...then you get to (figuratively) run the company, twist arms accordingly, and get desired results. That golden rule thing I heard someplace....
