nutshell:

Pubpat's funding is from Echoing Green whose funding is from Big VC $$ investors in Asia & China.. Including General Atlantic Partners & Texas Pacific... Who probably do not want to have PTSC/TPL sticking there hands in their pockets for many MMP licenses
