Actually, yes, that is what I'm saying. Though we "feel" this is our fight, it isn't - it's TPL/PTSC's fight.
Did you go to the SuperBowl? If so, did you stand on the sidelines and throw beer cans at the opposing team throughout the game, thinking that would serve your best interests (having made a sizeable bet for your team)? Same concept. Perhaps the better analogy would be: Did you run out on the field and argue with the ref on every call that YOU thought might negatively affect the outcome?, and then proclaim your action is for the betterment of sports in general?
And, BTW, I suggest that any "concerned citizen" type letters would immediately go into the round file. Enough of them, and you will piss them off. Such suggests that you think they are totally incompetent and not acting in the public's interest. Yeah, they'll really appreciate that.
As for the more provacative background (PUBPAT works, really, for whom?), leave it to them to figure it out (as if you believe they've never heard of this outfit before? LOL). They're probably aware of the litigation in process (or would check into it), timing of the request, past settlements.
With regard to the USPTO's awareness re: PUBPAT, I bet they are very aware of this outfit, what they are about, etc., and probably see them as adversaries. Their reputation preceeds them. That alone may squelch PUBPAT's effort. Request denied!
So please give me a few really good reasons for interjecting ourselves into this, and perhaps fouling things for our team.
