Forgot to address the question of lawsuits over claims. It's important to recognize that in Canada and Ontario unlike the USA any court action takes place solely before a judge. No jury involved in civil matters like these.
Also consider that when a claim is staked it is then submitted for registration. If accepted and registered it becomes valid, of course there can be minor discrepancies between actual stakes and claims but with GPS this tends ti create minor problems. Naturally jv agreements and contracts could become a matter of litigation but again these take place before an experianced judge, no jury.
I've been present at an ugly court case over jv contract years ago and while not cheap it's not long and drawn out either.
