The only thing that I would add is that the inhalers for asthma drugs work very differently than the inhaler for Afrezza.It is my understanding that the asthma inhalers are for larger particles that are meant to treat the bronchiole tubes or airways.With asthma, it is the airways that get constricted.The drug does not have to get all the way into the alveoli or air sac.Afrezza is much smaller and needs to get deep into the lungs. You do make good points that other insulin delivery methods also have their dosage problems.
AU, I can see your point -- because Afrezza is fast acting -- that it is easier to monitor and correct the dosage.It is just going to take some education for the diabetes community to understand this.
