I would say that they see the small investor as simply a part of what is out there in the market.  They will play the market as they understand it for their own interest.  Knowing that they find value in what the company has in the ground is all we really need to sniff out some value for ourselves.  I think that most people are angry and frustrated that they didn't read the signs and play their position to greater advantage.  However, there is still much to gain and patience is absolutely essential.  I kick myself for not selling some of my position at least but 20/20 hindsight makes everything obvious.  We are still in for when it flies up .... and it will.
