Yes Lac's SP is really bad karma right now, bought a smaller portion yesterday even though it wasn't very logical, but everything under 22 is cheap for me, and my cut is reasonable, although without any threads over several years. Everything is against us, interest rates, Lithium prices, general macro economy. Seeing the light, however, because here in Denmark we are close to 2% inflation, and the US is also approaching 2%. Southern Europe is higher, but is on the way down, so 2024 should bring interest rates down? China is not up at all, has big problems with the housing market. Unfortunately, I have had to change the Lithium price because I did not see that the price would drop so much. There is definitely someone who has hidden their actual production due to the environment etc.
Therefore, we should probably start counting on a price that is lower, but still higher than today, perhaps at the level of 25 to 30,000 per ton. On the other hand, I see the need for Lithium with the falling prices starting to increase dramatically, not only EV, but storage will become a larger share of sales, precisely because the prices are coming down, and this, together with the introduction of the solid state version, there will be a very large need? How many will not install large battery packs in the home to smooth out prices, and take advantage of the free solar energy.
The conclusion: we have to count on a lower level of the price, but a much larger quantity. Here, Lac will become a major player.
