Message: Reno Gazette Journal ... A.K.A. : "The Daily Disappointment" does it again

Report of big lithium find underscores need for less ‘sloppy’ permitting, conservationist says (msn.com)

RGJ got tired of trying to come up with "Sloppy" news stories via their own origination, so they just rehashed this story that came out of the Fort Collins Coloradoan.

If you look for a "slant" by the author then I believe you will see the balance more tipped toward the side of "environmentalists" as opposed to that of lithium mining, but such is the normal operating procedure now for "Journalists" across the board in the bulk of popular media locations.

Notice in the article how the author does take note that the share price of LAC went up about 10%in a "stock price surge" within 2 days of the publication of a new study in Science Advances that hypothesizes that the McDermitt Caldera contains more than double the amount of lithium compared to any other lithium clay location in the world.

The Daily Disappointment fails to mention the decline in the share price immediately following that 2 day "surge", a sequence of events now that is the "Rule" as opposed to the exception for LAC and that is similar to the excitement of the neonate amateur geologist who is ecstatic on finding what appears to be a big nugget of Element #79 in the Periodic Chart and only belatedly consults a real mineral expert to be informed that, in fact, his big discovery is just a huge lump of Iron Pyrite.

Sloppy Journalism in regard to the mining industry is not unique to just the area of Lithium Mining.  It is an infection permeating the entire body of "Journalism" that purports to provide a window to the world regarding the mining industry.

Some might argue, and with obvious justification, that the "Sloppy" infection within the body of "Journalism" has spread way beyond the confines of just reporting on the mining industry and that it has metastasized througout all permutations and distant regions within the whole enchilada of what constitutes "Journalism" as that moniker is misappropriated and misinterpreted in every Journalism school in the country, whether the actual degree is a JD degree or a BA in "Communications".

I won't argue that position since it is possible that out of all of the university kitchens that cook up that contrived regimen of study, perhaps... just "perhaps", there may be at least one that still does so in an unbiased and reptutable fashion.  It could happen.  I will be kind and assume that "somewhere" there is an honest Journalism School still standing that doesn't churn out the same uniformly prepackaged and heavily liberal biased cookie cutter product as does every other JD and "Communications" school in the nation.  "Somewhere"?  The search for such a school would be akin to looking for a needle in a haystack, but it might be there, eh?

OK, I have fed my appetite for ranting and I have battled enough  windmills for the day.  There is no glory in the battle, just relieving my frustration against an industry of deception and intrigue that has morphed away from even using the previous false window dressing "Big Lie" purporting itself to be "unbiased".  No longer can it be conceived that the general public is so naive as to swallow that piece of blatant propaganda since the public clearly sees that Journalism, like the "Emperor", has no clothes.  "Factual and Unbiased" has transmogrified into:  "Biased and Erroneous"

The bottom line is that the share price for LAC is still in the toilet and there is no relief on the horizon to LAC investors as we continue to perservere illogically against the tide, or possibly tsunami, of misfortune relating to our investment that has taken on the false garb of "good news", much like the fox dressed in camoflage as he rampages and devours inside the hen house.

Onward through the FOG, the rain, the sleet, the tsunami.

Someday it will be better....  someday.  Just not today.
