08:48 AM EDT, 08/22/2019 (MT Newswires) -- Gold miner Kirkland Lake Gold (KL.TO) has acquired an additional 2 million units in Bonterra Resources (BTR.V) at $2.50 apiece by way of a private placement financing.

Each unit consists of one common share and one-half of one share purchase warrant.

As a result of this investment, Kirkland Lake's total holdings in Bonterra increases to 12.5% from 10.2%.
