Mining Mandate's 180-day deadline forgotten?

Well, it's now October 20, 2008.

The Mining Mandate's self imposed 180 day moratorium (enacted on Friday, April 18, 2008?), as expected, has been passed and forgotten. Maybe the "steal" of ARU by Kinross is a blessing in disguise after all. Can you impaging the panic of ARU shareholders when the 180-day deadline is missed with absolutely no word from the government on if there is even going to be mining in Ecuador?

Anyway, if anyone has anything to pass on regarding the moratorium, it'd be much appreciated.
