Creating value through Exploration and Development in the Sierra Madre of Mexico
Steve, I would like to remind you and everyone here, this is all in the first five books of Isaiah. Everything happens cyclically. We are very near a Strauss and Howe style "Fourth Turning", the end of a "wicked generation" so to speak. We must be, otherwise mankind would never have survived this long without destroying itself.
There must be extremes and then resulting moderations in all things, stretching and then shrinking, breathing out and then breathing in. It is this way in markets, finance and human behavior. It is man's destiny to strive and fail and strive again, to be good for a time and then be wicked for a time. How else can man learn? What does a child learn who has everything or too much handed to him? Yet, for some reason, we crave this sort of easiness in life, this comfort. We strive to outthink God, and the punishment for such things is not pleasant, as many among us are about to find out.
But I can assure you: Nothing new is happening, nothing that has not happened to us all many, many times before. What is done, has been done "What has been will be again, what has been done will be done again; there is nothing new under the sun."
What can a man do? Be good. Follow your conscience, the still, small voice within you, and you will know what to do, where to go. Gold is not for the greedy. It is for those who understand justice and fairness, who desire and respect honest weights and measures.
Be of good cheer, all of you, there is one much mightier than all of us, far above the game, who also values honest weights and measures, a Force much greater than all the central bankers in the world. He sits patiently, hoping more of his children "get it" before He finally has to come down on them and crack the whip for a little while. He is doing the same thing you would as a parent, giving his children as much time as can possibly be spared, but that time is running out, the economic laws of His own creation must and will kick in.
