I just think it is more a timing issue than anything. There is a possible election in Ontario and for the moment I think the feds will hold off on support for RoF until they see what the NDP will do.The next federal election is a ways off and they may want to save their thunder for election time.

Will there be a provincial election or not? Right now it looks to be 50-50. There will be lots of goodies in the budget for Horvath but she may be getting tired of proping up the liberals. They are both sinking in the polls so they may not want an election now.

The federal conservatives will be looking for a conservative gov't in Ontario and are more likely to announce funding if Hudak is premier.

I understand that this may be offensive to liberal and NDP voters but I just think that is the way things work in politics.

The conservatives want a balanced budget this year or next so they may be holding tight to the purse strings.

All parties (political and companies) are very tired of the hastles and delays presented by the FN and so there is no hurry to move forward knowing the speed at which the FN (and gov't) work. Big companies like Glencore will be keeping a close eye on the RoF but will have no patience for the politics so will just sit in the weeds.

Weather or not the liberals made their funding conditional, I highly doubt they are expecting a federal announcement for funding in the next few months.

I have not heard the actual press conference but enough people have said it is not conditional that it must be so. Looks like the Sudbury Star got it wrong or they changed their minds at the last minute.

In any event the announcement is positive even if it takes a while to get the gears in motion and the feds on side. Any further delays will only give KWG more time to be proactive and outwit everyone. What they have accomplished is truely remarkable.

At least the RoF is starting to get some attention again.
