Unfortunately this is all political.

The Liberal Gov't is in trouble and they are desperately trying to hang onto power.

Their tactic is to announce billions of dollars of funding for anything they think could buy them votes. Many of the funding dollars will be aimed at initiatives that the NDP can claim credit for in the hopes that Horvath will continue to keep them in power.

Many of the funding initiatives will never come to pass.

By announcing funding for the Rof on the condition that the feds also pony up, the liberals know they are safe for now because the issue is not politically important to the federal conservatives at this time. The conservatives are not going to do anything that makes the provincial liberals look good.

Our best hope for the RoF is to elect the Provincial Conservatives who will have more influence with the federal conservatives. Recent poles have the conservatives in the lead.

So spread the word that we need a change of gov't in Ontario.
