Premier Kathleen Wynne is expected to meet with Mayor Al McDonald and the other interested parties this afternoon to discuss the Ontario Northland Transportation Commission.

Wynne spoke to the local media following a tour of Drillers Edge.

"I wanted to come and have an opportunity to meet with some of the folks who are doing great work here. I am going to have a meeting with a group of mayors later today. I am also going to have a meeting with folks to talk about the ONTC.," she said.

"There are issues that I have been aware of for a some time. It is really important for me to reconnect with people and see what is happening in communities."

Brian Kelly, spokesman for the General Chairperson's Association, said he is scheduled to meet with Wynne at 3 p.m. today.

He said the CGA has about 30 minutes of the Premier's time.

Wynne said she will hear the concerns from the union directly.

"There was a decision made that divestment of ONTC was what the government was going to do we have changed that," she said.

"I am determined we will find the right answer for each of the parts of the ONTC. There are different parts that are being treated differently. But we know divestment of the ONTC as a whole is not the only option. That's not what we're looking at at this point."

Wynne said each section of the ONTC will be treated differently.

"There are discussions ongoing right now about each part."
