Thanks Glee (and Remedy as well for picking up the NR for the new claims ) for posting the RR overview map in your previous post.
- Staging Area at Koper Lake: These are the claims mentioned in your post above. These are just under FNC properties (nextdoor to NOT Eagles). KWG/CCC was quicker than NOT in a re-staking (NR NR June 21 2011). This is an important area and has been used as a staging area for many folks in RoF. This will serve as the transportation hub (railhead, truck stops, airlink, etc.). Note that CLF has pencilled in a transportation route from BT (or BD) to the west and turning south going through FNC, and presumably heading to CCC transpo hub.
- Fishtrap Lake Claims: These are the new claims (June 29 2012 NR posted by Remedy) which are just acquired from INV Metals Inc. to fill in the "missing links". Hopefully KWG/CCC has now has completely filled the RR corridor, and there is no more missing link. As indicated, these area are important from the gravel supply point of view. It's a good trade for a few hundred thousand dollars.
Where is Fishtrap Lake located? It's about 60km south of McFaulds Lake area (i.e. about 1/5 of the RR on KWG map from the north). If you use Google Earth, locate Koper Lake (at 52 43 25N, 86 14 48W), go south by 50-60km you will find 4 (fair size) lakes on a NW/SE direction, Fish Lake is the second one from the top. You could also use a larger lake in the area (Missisa Lake, on GE) as a reference point, go west by approx 70km. Fishtrap is the lake that looks like a (deformed) pear hanging down from a long stem (must be a good fishing hole). I am just guessing here, but the RR is probably running on the west side of Fishtrap and on the east side of Kitchie Lake (i.e. between the 2 lakes, on a 2.5km wide piece of land/bog?).
I have a screen shot but don't know how to post it (it did not work out the last time when I tried to include a picture (copy and paste)...it was stripped off by the editor in the final post, so what you see while composing a post is not what you get in the final post). Anyone knows how to do it?
