Goldhunter: You are on track. I spoke to Mark ; Bruce was out of the office. From our conversation the main advantage to KWG would be getting bigger fish to buy shares(Institutions). And, yes, because the stock would be over $3.00, one would have margin equal to 50% of the purchace price. (Correct me if I'm wrong but I think it is to be 50%).
I agree with you that margin can be a trap, but it can also come in mighty handy at times.
The position I'm in right now, that is in the green, I could sell my shares at a profit, buy prefered B shares with that money, buy back common shares with the margin I would gain and hope both would go up before the market call (or I'd find money elsewhere). Of course it is a gamble but that is the name of the game.
As for voting shares, I think that is a piece down the road worth thinking about. If Institutions buy in the retailer can forget about votes; but right now show me the money.
Your concern over time line is a valid one. When we received DDi shares they came on the market to long before many of us had them in our accounts; and before one could blink they had lost half their value. I don't complain because they were freebees. So even .10 cents is a bonus. In this crazy market time is everything.
I wonder if Mineral Fields have sold their DDI shares yet?
