One thing i DO know after living here in the north all my life,is that NOTHING is going to get done without the chiefs of The First Nations.And not that long ago,they walked out of the EPA meetings.They don`t want their "way of life"destroyed.Read into that what you will,but according to this latest news release,they`d be "vested" (given) a railroad,compliments of the tax payer,shareholders,mining companies,on TOP of the airport they`ve already been promised.

If you can`t make enough from those two alone,not to even mention the other money that`ll come rolling in,i don`t know how you ever will.

They complain about the isolation,drugs,depression,suicide,etc,etc.So why not ,just this once,give progress a chance,break a few eggs and see if you like the result. If not,never do it again.But as i said the other day,with the kind of money wrapped up here just waiting to be tapped, the natives could take a break from the cold and isolation.Bet you you ANY money they`d be happy somewhere warmer in January.Just a hunch

There are some VERY rich reserves in BC because of this kind of thing.So rich in fact,that you`d better be able to prove you belong because they DON`T want new members

And these guys aren`t stupid either.They really could either actually prefer their way of life, with all the problems they claim it brings,or they`re waiting it out to see how much they can milk this for. Either way,THERE`S your major stumbling block.NOTHING big gets done until they are pacified.You`ll be hearing a lot more about the Woodland Caribou before this even comes close to a reolution.Unfortunately,a lot of it will be coming from people in the city down south,who wouldn`t now a caribou if it ran them over
