Great post rj,
I suspect that with all the news, talk and controversy about resources that are significant to Canada's long term future economy (i.e. Potash Corp, Sask & U.S. Steel, Hamilton) as well as what they represent to our reputation as an ideal place to invest in natural resources, the ROF could potentially become the focus of a lot of fast moving controversial M & A activity.
IMO once the puck drops many large suitors, who have been spectators for the first two periods, will want to step up the pressure in the transition zone to make sure they show up on the score sheet. And lets face it this is not going to be a goaltenders dual...there will be some scoring titles broken before it's all said and done.
I also like the fact that new powerful players are being introduced early in the process, via the political network. It supplements any NRs of a material nature, cost nothing to the bottom line and will surely catch our neighbours' attention to the south, given that these new players have deep, deep pockets.
Thanks again for the great posts...congrats on your appointment as a hub leader and good luck in all your investments.
