Today we ask the same question to David Coffin of the
Hard Rock Analyst fame. Whereas Nicholas had picked four
stocks, Coffin gave us a longer list of about 12, but what
stands out at first was the two stock pickers had two names
that were on both lists.
Coffin points to Keegan Resources on that short but same
list and asks simply, “Why hasn’t it been taken over already?”
Keegan continues to build their resource in West
Africa which currently is one of the best environments in the
world to be looking for gold because you can get potential
mines into production so much quicker than in much of the
developed world. They want jobs over there and the permitting
process that could take four, five or six years in North
America, is a fraction of that in West Africa.
Coffin’s other pick that echoes Nicholas Campbell’s list
is Hathor Exploration. Again, one of the richest uranium discoveries
in the world over the last few decades, Dave Coffin
tells us that resource reports expected in the coming weeks
and months, should be coming up with much better numbers
and he suggests once we get past 50 million pounds of
uranium, the big companies around the world are going
care...whether they are Asian, North American, or whatever.
