ATHABASCA BASIN: WHERE GRADE IS KING!
HATHOR EXPLORATION (V-HAT) $2.57 -0.06
With uranium starting to move and the uranium sector
getting a bit of a boost, we’ve thought for a while that
Hathor Exploration should be one of the most exciting of
the exploration plays in that sector. We’ve commented on
it a couple of time in the last few weeks, so why not ask
President, Stephen Stanley to say a few words… “act presidential”
we said.
Question: Why is Hathor’s share price on a tear?
Stephen Stanley: “Dave...a year ago Hathor came out with
its first resource calculation of 12m lbs and the world concluded
Roughrider was too small. Fast forward to today and
over 100 more drill holes later and the world is starting to
realize Roughrider is more than just a discovery or a small
deposit; it is quickly becoming the number one deposit of
interest in the Athabasca Basin.
The recent assay results from hole MWNE-10-648 of 63.5
metres grading 7.75% with grades as high as 87.2% u3o8 is
one of the best assay results ever to come out of the Athabasca
Basin, truly world-class with comparable hits at only
one or two other deposits in the world.
One of the most important things we need to make sure
shareholders and investors understand is the new resource
calculation that is coming out in November does not include
this hole or any other holes from Roughrider East,
the new resource calculation is only based on the original
Roughrider Zone! We would like to have our third resource
estimate update in the first quarter of 2011 and that will include
Roughrider East.
As Eric Zaunscherb, your analyst from Canaccord has
stated, he believes Roughrider East is probably bigger than Roughrider. If that is the case and if the upcoming resource shows Roughrider has 20 million lbs plus then I think the market will start having confidence that the Roughrider Project will exceed 40m lbs and at that size it should quickly become a big target for acquisition! It is also important to note that we have not defined the boundaries of Roughrider East so the sky is the limit of how big this deposit will ultimately be. In the next three months, investors should expect to see the following:
• Balance of assays from summer drill program should be released as they come in, over the next four weeks • Updated 43-101 resource estimate on Roughrider Deposit only in the second half of November’ • Winter drill programs at Roughrider, Russell Lake and Henday to commence in early January • If all goes as planned we should have our first 43-101 resource estimation on Roughrider East in first quarter 2011.”
