Dear Investors,
Thank you for using the Agoracom discussion board to ask questions directly to management, in addition to replying to your queries on this site, I may from time to time use these opportunities to answers other pertinent questions received via email.
First Dufjam questions,
Regarding your questions about the TSX VS CSE listing choice, usually all questions related to the Beauce project and spin out are to be answered by Patrick, as he is the point man for this project now, but since he is on vacation, I will say this: I may have been premature in my email reply this week, and by that I mean that the board of HPQ has not yet taken its final choice about the listing exchange, but at our next meeting I will inform the board that my preference for Beauce Gold Fields is a listing on the most visible of the exchanges: TSX-Venture.
Since cost was the major motivator for doing the listing on the CSE, I came to that conclusion after realizing that for an AMF (Quebec) regulated entity, the cost saving associated with a listing on the CSE vs TSX-V are not as significant as if we were an OSC or BC regulated entity.
Regarding your second questions, while I am happy that Peter finally obtained his financing from SDTC, knowing how these types of government funding are often subject to other contingent funding commitments, it is hard for me to answer that questions just now. I will take the opportunity of our upcoming board meeting to ask Peter questions on the subject.
Now another investor wrote a follow-up question regarding our government funding:
Is the SDTC the federal arm through which HPQ is applying for funding? I saw FNC receive funding from the SDTC today and figured HPQ would easily qualify as well based on the criteria stated on the SDTC website. I know HPQ is applying for both provincial and federal funding, but I'm not sure which organizations within these levels of government will provide the money.
Yes on the federal side we are talking with the SDTC, but these types of grants are longer to obtained than government investments or subsidised loans. Please note that between meeting the criteria and obtaining the grant there is lots of work and time invested in building a winning grant proposal.
On the provincial side, we are in direct discussions with the government, but since we are dealing here with a direct investment by the Government in a company, therefore, the work and the criteria requirements are not the same, and also take time.
What is interesting about Quebec is that our project may, over time, also become eligible for "Green Funds" funding’s, a specialised fund that specifically target project that reduce carbon footprint like ours.
