Yes there is direct contact method. If you click on the USERID of the individual you wish to contact, you will be taken to their profile page; at the bottom of the page there is a direct contact entry form. I believe use of this form generates an e-mail to the defined e-mail address for the user, but without divulging their actual e-mail address.
