ECU traded as high as C$.71 (+2 cents), but has pulled back to C$.68.
The three large bids (100M each) from M Lynch(39) at C$.65-.67 which helped propel the short-covering yesterday failed to show up this morning, and Anon(1) and CIBC(79) account for most of the selling pressure.
The bids from ML did not appear until 12:50 EDT Monday, so we will watch with interest to see if they reappear later. It is peculiar that with such a positive impact yesterday, that this entity would not post those bids again and support the stock.
The respective boards of ECU and AUMN will be holding the vote count/merger approval simultaneously at 11am EDT.
Until more develops.....
