I just Googled LBME and found that there are 9 "Market Making Members" which are, I assume, the "clearing members." The names missing from the article are Goldman Sachs, Mitsui and Societe General. In addition there are 57 "Full Members" - CIBC and Royal Bank are included in that list. Then there are "Associates" which list includes the Royal Canadian Mint.

I find it quite astounding that the Canadian banks involved in this organization would continue to hold membership and to be active in its affairs if they know that 50,000 tons of gold have been sold that do not exist. I plan to pass this article along to someone who is in a position to enquire to one of the Canadian banks about this missing gold. They are undoubtedly aware of the missing gold accusation and should be prepared to respond to the statements in this article. It just doesn't seem plausible that no one has ever asked for and received concrete evidence of the existence and location of that amount of gold.
