Morning Wolf. As usual there is a factor of perspective here. When we design satellites where accurate positional knowledge is essential, and that weigh as much as a mid size car, we account not only for say, Jupiter, but the position of Jupiter's moons. They have an effect on the position of these satellites. Just because you can't feel it, does not mean it does not have an effect. Remember we found Pluto because of its effect on the orbit of Uranus. The part about the book you hold and tidal effects is just a factor of the 1/Re2 rule. Distance squared means that something touching you has little field drop where something such as the Sun at 93 mil miles away has a huge drop (10e15 greater relative drop). But I guarantee that the sun has many many times the effect on the earth than your book.

I don't know squat about astrology, but I do know about the physics. There is an effect of the other planets on things in the neighborhood of the earth. What that effect has on the markets is for somebody else to explain.
