Using one of my gold stocks as an indicator ( a part of which I sold and bought some more ECU, so I watch it).

It normally trades a few hundred thousand shares a day and almost always tight between the Bids and Asks.
Today with Americans on holiday in the first ten minutes no trades at all ( normally there is a furry in the first minutes), spread is 7 cents on an sp of about 1.40, finally no one or two lot offers on bid or ask side.
That tells me as to where the gamesmanship comes from, its not Canada!
