Interesting to watch the last several minutes of trading in ECU today. With roughly 6 minutes to go, ECU was down .08 on roughly 343 thousand shares. Six minutes and only 8500 shares later, we're down only .01. Since there were roughly 2 buyers and 4 sellers of those 8500 shares, maybe there weren't that many shares left to buy. That's okay by me, and maybe it's a good sign, since not that long ago, the other side seemed to wait until the last few minutes of the day to knock the stock down on a few thousand shares. However, I will not be surprised to see ECU offered down again tomorrow AM.
All HUI stocks were in the green today, ten of which were up over 10% and a couple over 20%. I've seen the HUI up a lot more on a good day, but since the frenzied buying focus seemed to be elsewhere today, perhaps the HUI up some 14% isn't too shabby.
Every junior I follow was in the green today except ECU. How can that be, especially in light of what appears to be a developing humongous company and a strong PM stock sector. It's now more than just frustrating. In the sequence of emotions that occur when bad news arrives, from shock to denial to fear, etc., to eventual acceptance, I'm now moved into the anger stage. I doubt I'll ever get to acceptance.
