Weak share price action compared to gold and silver's move.

The action in the HUI and XAU today should have been much stronger in consideration of the extents of the moves in gold and silver. Gold gained 11% approximately for the day while the move in the HUI was also approximately 11%. Where is the leverage??!

Could it be that the huge fall in the greater stock market is having a deleterious effect on the action of the miners?
