OT: How I view this forum.

I so not intend to be 'The Moderator'. I hope Coach is willing to assume the major role, he earned it and continues to do so. I intend to be mainly in a supportive role much as I was at the other board. If Coach takes a vacation or a trip to the mine site and is unavailable, well then someone has to pull in the slack. I hope I can fill his shoes on a temporary basis as needed if no one else steps up.
I also hope we can persuade some more of the former group to join us.
By the way, unless anyone objects, I personally have no problem about any of the 'Nay' group to be here either, provided that their posts show the respect that they would accord to themselves. Opinions are opinions, but if you want to argue a point or persuade someone to your view you better back it up with some justification instead of lambasting them.
And it is down right childish to call someone offensive names and reflects more on the sayer than the victim. It lacks dignity not only on the sayer but reflects on this community and the management of this facilty to whom we owe gratitude for the priviledge. I suspect from what I have read and experienced so far that the management of this site wants a decent and respectful community. People should be proud to join in and participate in meaningful discussions. Of course this should attract more membership and presumably that is why this place exists.
I am stating very obvious things here but in light of what we had and what has become of the old place, I think it needs to be stated, not so much for us as for any new members and particularly migrators from the former location.
Last but not least, I do have a fairly thick skin so if I digress in a direction that any of you disagree with, please do me a favour and say so plainly. You will not offend me and you will do a favour to me by helping me out.
I am undeserving of the priviledge this status gives me but I will try.
Good luck and welcome to all. Ed G.
