I think every individual investor in resource companies needs to educate themselves with the basic understanding of resource estimates, ore value, grades, value of combine gold equivalence when multiple metals are found in ore, geology, recover rates, strip ratio, NPV, NAV, Tech reports, pre and feasibility study, you don't have to have a PHD in geology but it can be rewarding especially with new release, ability to quickly interpret result can mean mega profit or huge losses before the large hedge funds and institutional investors with all their paid resource at hand gets in or out.

Once you have a basic understanding you will find research can be very interesting and its not as boring as some of the perception out there, sharing knowledge and insight on these boards are always helpful to all, give and take sharing of info give the small investors an edge. good luck with your investments.
