Buffett's actually said he doesn't want to leave more than a wealthy pittance to his heirs (i.e., a few millions)... Gates is apparently the same way. That's why they're trying to spend their wealth in constructive ways, like trying to save 100 million African children from disease and death.

Leaving wads of money to kids just spoils them.
