Message: A wee bit of history that you can't find on websites...

Okay, as per my conversation with Sasha...I'm clearing these items up.

1. In Quebec mining claims are property of the state. The state facilitates exploration and development as priority over the landowner - however the landowner must be compensated accordingly. Can you imagine? This aligns with the story of Osisko who moved an entire village to an adjacent property in order to mine their property. I'm continually amazed at PQ's support of the mining industry.

2. Candido was not involved in GNH at all in the 80's or 90's. He owned some in his portfolio and became interested when he noticed and Osisko JV in 2003. In 2006 he wanted to increase his exposure to gold so he investigated his holdings of GNH. It looked good and he began a friendly takeover of the company as there was no active management yet there remained the quality assets.

3. So Tilsey was on this project in the 80's AND the 90's. Judging by the maps and the numbers on the drill holes I think he was primarily drilling during this time, and I don't think it was his choice to do that. I remember the conference call and Candido saying that when Tilsey saw that the plan going forward was to trench - he was pretty pumped.

4. The bulk sampling is a basic statistics exercise as the gold is not evenly distributed and a large sample size is necessary to find a truer average grade. GNH has tried to take the smallest, large sample possible to get this grade. This best analogy here is chocolate chips inside the cake and using a straw to penetrate the cake to find them (drilling). You may hit 1, you may hit 5. It doesn't tell you how many chips are in the cake. They want to take an actual piece of the cake, blend it up, take a sample, send it to a lab and find out the percentage of chocolate.

5. I was wrong about anyone from Osisko being involved in working with GNH directly. Apparently John Burzynski (OSK chief) wrote his masters thesis on the area and got more of working knowledge of the Beauce through the 2003-04 JV. It has been mentioned but I should add again that Peter Smith was on the BOD of GNH. Peter Smith is FNC. FNC has done some pretty major staking here. Companies involved here now are BOW/OSK, FNC, UBR and VDO.

6. The Melman Report. A must read for any newbies. Here's the link.

Ok, I have more but must tend to real job for a while...although this is more fun.
