via Bing Maps - Star Lake Mill

There is a second milling location that provides concentrate to the Jolu Mill, which is in the former location of a previous mining operation, The Star Lake Mine.

This milling location was not in place prior to the commencement of operations at the Jolu Mill. Very likely this is the source of extra capacity required to meet with a processing rate of ~750 tonnes per day. That would imply this mill has a 250tpd capacity.

There is a generator on location, plus this mill probably uses the 25kv line that serves the Jolu Mill. The snow is melted on the West side of the building, leading up to the road. This line probably feeds concentrate to the Jolu Mill. A crushing facility is in evidence, but no stockpiles are kept and are probably fed by the truckload.

Water is being pumped from a nearby lake.

This is the method by which the processing rate of the project has been kept secret, by building a second mill and processing ores from the Star Lake Mine, and from Roy Lloyd. Very likely the Star Lake Mine is being built as they are building the Jolu Mine un-announced.

In a more recent sat photo, the roads are clear to the Star Lake mine, right up to the small crushing building at this location. All of the waste rock produced by the construction of the Star Lake Mine is being brought to a location near the Above Ground Tailings Impoundment, as the roads are clear up until that location.

As the location of the effluent pipe was changed at the tailings facility, the location of the pipe carrying concentrate to the Jolu Mill might have been re-routed from the Star Lake Mill. The trees appear to obscure the pipe if it's in the same location.

The portal of the former Star Lake Mine would have to be immediately to the right of the secondary mill, since the roads are very clear and cut off sharply at this location.

It's a well-kept secret, but the Star Lake Mine is perhaps in operation or under construction as is the Jolu Mine.
