I wouldn't be surprised if The Jolu Mining Project failed to materialize as a mining concern in the 1980's, since there was so much divided ownership of the property and so much in the way of corporate brinkmanship between key players over struggles for control and market share between the various gold companies. It was all part of the generational bear market in gold prices.

The Jolu Mine is mentioned once in this series, but the whole series of articles over the struggles for control between Dome Mines and Corona clears up why this mining prospect in particular was exceedingly grossly mismanaged under the circumstances.

Properties with the slightest hint of risk were simply tossed overboard in the quest for control. The market took care of the rest in the '92 recession.

Corona is still a listed company on the CSE, and holds mining shares of various companies.
